Currently: Writing Music & Lyrics for Musical Adaptation of L.M. Montgomery’s The Blue Castle in collaboration with Dark Glass Theatre.
The Blue Castle (1926) by L.M. Montgomery is a romantic novel about Valancy Stirling, a 29-year-old "old maid" living under her oppressive family's thumb in 1920s Ontario. Believing she has a terminal heart condition, she rejects her family's constraints to live honestly and fearlessly, finding love and independence in the Muskoka countryside.
THIS NEW WORK IN DEVELOPMENT FEATURES 15+ ORIGINAL SONGS THAT’LL BRING LOADS OF LAUGHS, TEARS, AND MOST OF ALL THE SINGULAR THRILL AND POWERFUL FREEDOM THAT COMES FROM CHOOSING TO THROW A COUPLE OF MIDDLE FINGERS UP TO CONVENTION AND NAYSAYERS, AND BRAVELY FOLLOW YOUR OWN PATH.
